Combining sultry power with gentle grit, Floramay Holliday deftly blends the essence of old-school country with a contemporary brand of alternative style. Floramay delivers her songs with a soulful Southern voice and plays the guitar with an energy that rolls just as much as it rocks.

Her self- titled debut album, released on Roseneath Records, captures the overwhelming presence and songwriting of a talent truly unique to the music industry. Floramay has won critical acclaim for her album, which was recommended for nomination in the 42nd annual Grammy Awards produced by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.

Tommy Hancock, known as the godfather of West Texas music and noted music critic, calls Floramay "a Texas angel ...and of course good and unexpected things happen around angels." Clifford Antone, owner of famed Antone's - the place where Stevie Ray Vaughn got his start, in Austin, Texas, calls Floramay "one of Austin's best-kept secrets." Floramay has earned the attention of the King of Texas himself: Willie Nelson, after meeting her in Austin.

She has also recently co-created the wildly popular rock group, Sis DeVille - with renowned singer/songwriter, Shelley King. Sis DeVille is an all-girl southern rock band featuring stunning three-part harmony and finely crafted pop songs with a Texas attitude.

Mayor Kirk Watson of Austin, Texas, the "Live Music Capitol of the World," proclaimed November 2, 2000 as Floramay Holliday Day, recognizing her outstanding contributions to the local music community. Floramay has also worked extensively on a number of projects for Austin City Limits and has been voted as Best Local Performer in her hometown of Florence, South Carolina. Recent industry showcase performances include: Willie Nelson's 4th of July Picnic, Luckenbach, Texas' -Best of Texas Ladies Songwriters, the Historical Greune Hall- Women in Texas Music, Old Settler's Music Festival, as well as popular European performances in Hungary and Greece.

As her broad and expansive fan-base attests, the essence of Floramay Holliday remains largely in her live shows. Keeping a steady and ambitious schedule, Floramay performs with her original band religiously, promoting the music through live shows, advertising, CD sales, television and radio. Her music has been added to radio playlists throughout the U.S. and Europe, landing her continued international exposure.
